Linda Frances Reynolds (Purdue), 78, passed away August 3, 2022 with her family by her side. Linda was born on May 15, 1944 in Wytheville, VA to the late Roberta Goldie Perdue & Naaman Perdue. Linda grew up in Berwyn Heights and was educated in the Prince George’s County School system. She attended Bladensburg High and graduated from Crossland High School. She spent her earlier years as a resident of Forestville Maryland, she then resided in Lothian for about 15 years until retiring to Centreville, MD.
In her early years, Linda worked as a bookkeeper at Frank Parsons Paper Company during the day and as a waitress at Village Barn at night. She then started her career in real estate at Prince George’s Properties. She was a proud and very successful Real Estate agent primary focusing on the Prince George’s County area. Over her years as a real estate agent, she was employed at RE/MAX and Realty Executives. She owned a number of investment homes that she rented out, and also flipped houses.
Linda loved to travel, read, spend time with family, and especially enjoyed her time at her condos in Ocean City, MD. Linda was regarded as being extremely smart, street smart, giving, and very kind.
She spent the later years of her life in the care of her loving son Zachary Newitt and his wife Linda Mann Newitt, with frequent visits from her treasured Granddaughter Josslin “Lindy” Newitt and Lindy’s children Cali, Bladen, and Juliette Rose.
Linda was preceded in death by her ex husband Glenn Newitt with whom she had 3 children, her daughter Becky Newitt, and her sisters Elizabeth “Liz” Davis and Judy Burke. She leaves behind her beloved children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and sister Charlotte DuFore of Calvert County. Linda will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
