I met Pep (my nickname for him) when he was attending college in San Jose, CA back in 1976 (wow).  I came to know him as a lovely man - even met his Dad and Rosa, when they came to visit him.  I'm very sorry to see he has passed at this young age.   But I'll keep some very lovely memories.

Once, we decided to take a road trip down to Baja CA.  We had a marvelous time travelling down the coast.  Of course, we had no idea what to expect in Baja, and after seeing it, we turned right back around.  The shared photo is of that trip, and the only keepsake I have of that year we shared.

I'll never forget those dark eyes that could see a person's soul, and that little scar he had on his cheek. ..and that mischievous smile that let you know he was up to something.   ...   And of course, that unforgettable 'fro!      RIP, Pep....

Joe,  you left us to soon.  You will be missed.   I worked with Joe many times  on trains to NYP and back to WAS.   Things always ran smoothly when Joe was the conductor.  My thoughts and prayers  are with his family.

Joe always wanted to "win"...….. he was a winner 
I will miss my friend.....

Joe would come by often, we would sat on the porch and talk sports, jobs, music , and life, sometimes there were repeated life events that we would go over and over that brought many laughs, Joe’s like of cars,  food, cats , movies,  pool, and Skins when they win , his travels, after more than fifty plus years we could even appreciate our sometime disagreements, and end with a fist bump of respect.  I called him Joe P , rest well my friend.

Joe is a special man with a great sense of humor.  Joe would sometimes wear a scowl on his face, but once you got to know him,  he was  sweet and soft in the middle.  
Joe. Rest well in the arms  of God and keep
watch over your family and friends.

Enjoyed my time with Joe working together and getting to know him.  Hanging out with some of his family members talking about sports and politics.  We've had some great and funny moments such as receiving poor service at a restaurant me not wanting to pay the bill lol trying walk out but Joe was moving too slow trying not to get in caught or in trouble. 🤣🤣🤣He'll truly be missed. R.I.H.🙏
