Eunice Cesar Irick, affectionally known as “Bobby,” was born on May 9, 1935, in Orangeburg County (Bowman), South Carolina. Bobby was the first child born to Lawrence J. and Eula R. Irick. Bobby entered eternal rest peacefully at his home on June 1, 2024.
BOBBY relocated to Washington, DC in 1956. He was able to gain employment at night as a janitor and during the day as a delivery driver for The Eastern Electric Company.
BOBBY was very devoted to his family. Outside of his passion for home renovation and car repair, Bobby took pride in and loved supporting his family in whatever way he could. He was recently recognized as the last remaining founder of the Jones Family Reunion, which has been held every Labor Day weekend, since its inception in 1966. This year would have been his 58th year celebrating the Jones Family Reunion.
BOBBY was predeceased by his wife, Annie L. Irick; parents, Lawrence J. and Eula R. Irick; sisters, Shirley R. Spells, Eula L. Irick; and, brother, Harvin L. Irick.
BOBBY leaves to cherish his memory his children, Larry Williams, Patricia “Chris” Irick, Deborah Scott (Richard) and Terry Irick; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers: Marion Irick of Georgia, George Irick (Donna) of Maryland; sisters: Ernestine Irick, Barbara Dickson, Patricia Wideman all of New Jersey, Verna Irick-Adams (Nathaniel) of Georgia, and Priscilla Irick of Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 29th at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home in Brentwood, MD. Visitation begins at 12:30pm and Memorial service begins at 1:00pm. Inurnment at Fort Lincoln cemetery immediately following conclusion of the memorial service.
