SHE was the matriarch of the family and the protector of our family and the strength of the family.
Mr. Percy Evans and Emma Horne met in 1962 and the rest was history they were married in May of 1966 where they met in Washington DC after leaving North Carolina.
They enjoyed carburets, going to the beach, and just having family around
Mom spent 32 years at the General Services Administration under five presidents who awarded her with numerous certificates of outstanding service of the White House and served 10 years at Saint Francis Catholic Church as a teacher and a counselor. She had also obtained two degrees from Strayer University and the Chamberlin School of Cosmetology.

She is survived by sister and brother Lemar Horne, Shelton Horne, and, Dora Whitney. Also children Barbara Clark, Michael Evans, Patricia Clark and William (Junior) Clark and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren Kenya, Zenata, Niecsy, Tedis, Brandon and Mikayla.
She will be greatly missed by everyone because she was as close to being a saint as anyone that we have known.
