What I will  remember most about Sis. Carrie Shepherd will be her beautiful smile that lit up a room, her pose and elegant attire. Such a lady!  She always made me feel welcomed as well as those around her. Sis. Carrie possessed a quite demeanor, with pose and subtle grace.  I can picture her sitting next to her beloved husband Bro. Thomas Shepherd close to the back of Pilgrim AME Church.  This couple had been together for so long that they started looking like brothers and sisters instead of husband and wife. There is and will be a  great void among her family,  her church family and friends.   Sis. Carrie I know you are up there in heaven smiling and rejoicing with Jesus,  along with your family and friends that have already gone up to glory.  The Word says "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."  Rest now from your earthly labor my beautiful Sister. Until we meet again. God Bless!

In times like these, there are simply NO WORDs that can bring you true comfort as you mourn the loss of your wife and mother, Mom Carrie.  She is and will always be one of my favorite "Pillar Women" of Pilgrim AME Church! Her beautiful smile and kindness shown me and J'Nevelyn will never be forgotten! Her Life & Legacy remains within ALL of you.  I especially want to Thank God & each of you who  dearly love her for sharing her life with the rest of us!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with the Shepherd Family in your time of grief. Deidre, Timothy and Andrew and family, know that I love you and don't hesitate to call if you need anything.
