Brenda A. Green

Brenda attended District of Columbia Public Schools. She also completed her Associate’s Degree at Halifax Community College in North Carolina and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She worked at Medlink Hospital in Capital Hill where she worked until she retired. Both her patients and staff loved Brenda. Brenda always put others before herself. She never complained and maintained a positive attitude about everything in her life. She always said that God had her back and knew what she needed. She instilled those things in her children. She loved to laugh and make silly faces with Traci. Brenda enjoyed travel, reading and watching science fiction and suspense movies.

Brenda leaves to mourn her son Kevin Gerard Smith and Traci Erin Smith. Grandchildren: Kennedy Violet Smith (preceded her in death) and Cruz Amar Zaire’ Boone. She also leaves to mourn her brother Michael Green (Washington, DC) and two sisters Deborah Green-Wilson (Columbia, SC) and Robyn Green Byrd and brother-in-law Larry Byrd (Mitchellville, MD). Nieces Ashleigh Wilson and Jordyn Byrd, and Nephew Joshua David Byrd and a host of family and friends.
