Sally was born January 8th, 1930 in Shelby, Montana to Norman and Virginia Kalbfleisch. She attended the University of Montana and was a cheerleader for the Grizzlies. She married her soulmate and best friend Dick Peters and raised their family in Pleasant Hill, California. Sally worked in the Athletic Department at St. Mary’s College. They retired to Apple Hill in Brentwood and developed a wonderful community of friends there. Sally was a woman of exceptional strength, courage and love. Her beautiful heart touched everyone she met. She was actively involved through quilting, bunko, bocci, and bridge clubs. She was an avid gardener and quilter and friend to all. Sally was the heart and soul of her family. She lit up the room with her smile and laughter. Her beautiful heart touched everyone she met. She is survived by her brother, Jim (Virginia) Kalbfleisch, and sister Jackie Murphy, her children, Rich (Lucia), Joni (Pat), Jim (Diane), Ginger, Mari (Mark),Dan (Matha), and Norm (Gina). She is also survived by 20 loving and devoted grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Sally was preceded in death and will be joining her loving parents Norman and Virginia (Johnson) Kalbfleisch, husband Dick Peters, twin babies Johnny and Joseph, siblings Genore, Bobby and twin brother Rae Kalbfleisch, and great grandchild Lela Yasmeen Tamplen.
Sally was the heart and soul of our family… Her beauty shines in us all and we will forever hold her in our hearts.
