LeRoy "Chico" Thomas, Jr. Passed away on February 11, 2012, and was born December 27, 1935 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Edith and LeRoy Thomas, Sr. The family moved to San Francisco when he was a young boy. LeRoy graduated from Mission High School and San Francisco City College. In high school, LeRoy was a standout football, track and field, and basketball athlete. He also played semi-professional football with the Redwood City Ramblers from 1962 to 1964. For his achievements, he was inducted into the San Francisco High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. LeRoy led a successful family property ownership and management business. He was passionate about spending time with his family and friends. LeRoy is survived by his loving wife Susan, and his children Lisa Brooks, Paris Guinn, Brady Thomas and Traci Thomas, and his four grandchildren. We will always remember him for filling our lives with joy. For those who knew and loved him, he was larger than life.
