5, 2024. He was surrounded by loving family in his home. Jose was a spiritual man of great
integrity and will be remembered for his strong work ethic and love for his family. His love and
presence will be deeply missed
Jose was born in Purepero, Michoacan, Mexico on April 9, 1940. He immigrated to the United
States in his teens and proceeded to work at the Jesuit Novitiate in Los Gatos, California for
over 50 years until his retirement in 2008.
Jose is survived by his wife, Alicia. Together they grew a family of 7 children, 16 grandchildren,
and 3 great-grandchildren with a 4th on the way.
To Jose, Papi, Papa, Papaito, we say farewell for now. But, we will never forget the light he
brought into our lives. May he rest in peace, and may we honor his memory by living our lives to
the fullest.
