My heart goes out to Jan's family and all who loved her. I just learned of her passing today. I was one of Jan's clients for the past 20+ years; I've never known another person with the combination of intelligence, warmth, humor, professionalism, and sheer moxie that Jan had. I mourn with you.

I am so sorry for your loss. . I just found out today as her email bounced back and I searched on Internet. 

I have known her since 1999, what a great love of family she had, always talked about her daughter and granddaughter, showed me photos. I always felt good being around her, she was always happy. I added to her blue 💙 glass collection, enjoyed her photography, I will add her.

I am so sorry to hear this news.  I have been trying to get in touch with Jan as she has done my taxes for the last 15 years and she is also the most responsive person and it was weird to not hear from her.  I googled and found this.  Doing taxes over these years were always something I dreaded and I would cry and cry when I found out how much I owed but something about Jan would just put me at ease and we would just sit and talk about life & family.  Her travels to Hawaii and the love she had for her children and grandchildren.  She was always so proud of them.  And her little doggy!  Ahh, much love to her family as I am sure you all miss her a lot.  She was one of a kind and I am so sad to hear that she passed.  Liz

I am shocked! I just found out. I knew Jan over 30 years. She did my taxes & we became friends. We would talk all the time & she helped me  through some really rough times. She was a beautiful person with a great soul & mind.  I am so grateful to have known her. She was one in a million.

So heart broken to hear of Jan’s passing. She was the one person who picked me up when I was at my lowest and got me back up  on my feet again. Such a kind hearted and loving lady . Gonna miss her famous bbq steak and specialty cocktail  while over looking that beautiful view she loved so much. I’m sure I speak for many that  say she will truly be missed,

Jan Young helped me out so many years, she was such a nice pleasant person, would always tell me stories about Hawaii, her grandchildren, and children she was proud of them all. rest in paradise Jan!

It is with great surprise and tremendous sadness to hear of the great Jan Young’s passing. Besides being the best accountant in the word, she was full of life to a degree that is hard to find. She was more than trusted consult, she was a friend who we looked forward to seeing and even sometimes made up excuses to do so. Jan was one of a kind and we’ll miss her very much. Tom and I are so sad to learn of your passing. I’ve known you since 1996, the first time you did my taxes. Sitting across the desk from you was always such a delight! Tom and I both loved our conversations with you that had nothing to do with taxes. Your photography, your flying, Florida, your family, my family… we shared so much over the years. We are so saddened and we miss you terribly.

Craig and I met Jan in 1986 when she did our taxes for the first time. I thought she was a cool hippie artist chick, definitely NOT my image of a tax accountant! We quickly became friends. She has left her indelible mark on our lives, and we'll think of her whenever we see beautiful cloud formations, do our finances, cook, and when we see those special shades of sky blue and purple that she loved. We'll miss her so much, and we feel so fortunate to have been friends all these years.

Jan was a really good friend to me. She was my tax consultant first,  from 2007 till now.  I want to say around 2014/2015, we got to be close as friends as.she had an office in Willow Glen, and that was where I was living.  I would visit her during tax season at the end of the day and share a glass of wine and a laugh with her. I was able to share a few days with her and Katie and Patrick  in Hawaii back in 2021, and  I’m very grateful to have known her. She was very good person,  generous, smart and empathetic, all in one person.  Hard to find these days. I will miss her greatly.   Sincerely, Sherri Sadler

I met Jan over 30 years ago from a referral to help with my taxes.  Throughout the years, I always looked forward to meeting Jan to drop off and pick up my tax documents.  We would talk for quite a while about different things in life.  Jan was never short on words and opinions. And we would also talk about our families. When she spoke of her family and pets, her words showed so much love. 

I was truly saddened when I learned of Jan's diagnosis and even more so when I heard she had passed. It's hard to believe she is gone. Jan will be missed by so many.  My condolences to her family.

I met Jan through the real estate firm I worked for about 45 years ago.  She was not only our tax consultant, but we became friends.  Our daughters grew up together.   She was outspoken and unfiltered.  We shared many glasses of wine and attended events together.   We also shared the love for our fur babies.  Although she told me of her diagnosis, she was still very private about the severity.  She will be missed.  Say hi to Harry.

With a heavy heart and fond memories of Jan who was a friend of 40 years.  I was introduced to Jan in 1984 and soon after she started to do our taxes.   She was definitely not a woman of a few words, if you asked a question, she was right to the point, good, bad or ugly.  Without a question of a doubt, you always knew she was a fighter and had your back.  Questions asked were always met with a quick one back and you knew that was your answer, short and to the point!  We are going to miss her so, so much.  She shared with us her fight to stay in the game back in July of this year.  My husband and I visited her at her home one month to the day that she passed.  We enjoyed the day with her, she was optimistic, but she said she was ready to go if that was the case.   She spoke often of her granddaughter Katie and her children.  Without a doubt this girl had her heart, Jan wasn't the kind of person who melted, but the one name that brought out her soft side was Katie.  I don't know her, photos spread throughout her home said it all.  God Bless you Jan and thank you for being a champion for all of us!  John & Gail Cambra

Jan has been a very dear friend and a part of our family for 30 years.  It is hard to believe that she is no longer with us.  We have been together thru good and bad times - always there for each other.  So grateful I was able to talk to her on her birthday and our last words to each other were: “I love you”.   She was loved by so many and will be missed tremendously.   Sending condolences to Jan’s family.
