Sorry for not being able to say this during your eulogy. I knew I’d have a tough time. I never thought I’d have to write to you in this type of way, but I know you are in God’s hands now because he needed your kind heart with him. He always seems to take the best ones from the ones who feel all the love. The selfish part of me can’t accept the fact that you are physically not here anymore because I wanted to hug you one more time. I miss you so much and though we have to live in memories with you, I am glad we have so many great times to think of that are beyond endless. You were someone everyone can count on for a good laugh (sometimes it was from dad jokes that only you got, but they were funny anyway), a big smile on a bad day, genuine hospitality (even strangers felt at home), and always being there no matter what. I feel so lucky to be your daughter because you made others feel like you were their second dad. We will miss your uplifting spirit, selflessness, comedy, and most of all, your cooking. Vanessa and I promise we will try to help fill your shoes and take care of mom, but I know it will not come close to all you have done. I wish I had just one more chance to thank you for everything, but I know you will be nearby. You have taught me all that I know and I wouldn’t be who I am today because of you. I know what love is because you loved me unconditionally. I know what kindness is because your arms were always open to lend a helping hand. I know what selflessness is because you cared for everyone you crossed paths with before yourself. Rest In Peace dad. This is not goodbye because you will be with Mom, Vanessa and me always.

My Deepest Condolences to the Lopez family, I worked with Ernie  at Linear Technology/Analog  Devices for several years.... It was "Always" a pleasure talking to Ernie. He would usually give me a hard time when I needed him to pour the chemicals that I needed in the morning, but it wouldn't be  "Ernie" if he didn't make me "Laugh" & give me a hard time .............. My heart was broken when I heard the sad news.  He will be Deeply Missed.

Prayers with your family. I worked with Ernie for several years At  Linear Technology/Analog Devices he was quite a character! He just brought joy to any room he walked into .I remember when we close the doors some of our employees left earlier in February Ernie was among them and I asked him why are you leaving so soon we still need you here he said he had a lot of things to do. I asked him like what? He said I have to watch TV eat sleep and drink beer . I will miss his Quick wit and sense of humor.
