Jerry earned a college degree in Criminology, and after additional training, he became a professional member of American Society of Safety Engineers. He was employed by insurance companies in San Francisco, and traveled nationally for his work.
Jerry proudly served his country in the US Army Special Forces. He was a lifetime sports enthusiast and practiced martial arts of Kenpo Karate. Jerry was also a skilled fastpitch softball pitcher for senior teams and taught high school girls his successful techniques in pitching. Another one of his favorite sports was Lacrosse, where he was a respected member of the San Francisco Lacrosse Club and valued member of the Golden Gate Lacrosse Club.
Jerry enjoyed his retirement years spent in Maui, Hawaii before moving to Sequim WA, where he spent his final years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Jordan and Myrtle (Brown). Jerry leaves behind cherished memories to his sister Dolores Jordan Segger; nephew, Richard (Rick) Segger; his great-nephew, Kyle Segger; and his longtime friend and companion, Laureen Elizabeth, who was with him when he peacefully passed on.
The family invites you to honor and celebrate his life On Saturday, December 21,2024 with a 12pm Celebration of Life service. Interment will follow with military honors in Miller Woodlawn Memorial Park at 1 PM.
In honor of Jerry's Life, memorial donations may be gratefully made to charities that benefit disabled veterans.
