Ann Helm, 80 passed away on April 13, 2018 at the family homestead in Bremerton, Wa. Annie was born on March 12, 1938 in Bremerton, the daughter of parents Ted and Anne Helm. Annie graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1956 and was on the honor roll. Annie was employed at Keyport Naval Torpedo Station and after leaving this employment, she helped her parents with the farming of the Homestead. After their death she continued farming the property. Annie operated a Road Stand at the top of the road where she sold baked bread, pies, cookies and brownies. She used the apples, raspberries , blackberries, rhubarb and pears that she grew from the property for her pies and sweets. Aside from baking, she raised chickens and sold their eggs. She also raised calves and milk cows and grew and maintained a large garden. She canned hundreds of jars from the produce that she grew. Annie's hobby was playing the piano. Her devotion to the Lord Jesus was manifested by the book of songs she wrote to honor him. During her lifetime, and in honoring the Lord, she helped the downtrodden and sponsored many children from around the world through World Vision. Annie is survived by 6 brothers; Glenn, John, Jim, Pete, Tim, and Ted and 3 sisters; Esther Finzel, Dorothy Helm and Barbara Stuart, and many nieces and nephews. Annie was proceeded in death by brothers Gary and Joel Helm and sisters; Ellen Helm, Beatrice Lavigne, and Donna Wandling. Funeral services will be held at Miller-Woodland Funeral Home at 5505 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, WA. on April 26, 2018. Visitation at 11:00. Service at 12:00 and Graveside services will be at Ivy Green Cemetery, Bremerton, Wa. immediately following.
