Passed away suddenly in his home on July 24, 2024, surrounded by his beloved wife Connie (nee Piacquadio) of 41 years him, at the age of 80.
Loving father of Nicola (Nick), Gino was born in Pesco Sannita, Benevento, Italy on July 3, 1944.
Dear son of the late Nicolangelo and Reperata (nee Viglione) Riccio.
He will be deeply missed by his sister Serapia Cocca (nee Riccio) of Guelph, Maria Bollo (nee Riccio) and Antonio Riccio of Italy, Connie’s sisters and brothers, their spouses and his nieces and nephews.
Gino always welcomed everyone with homemade wine and salami, and enjoyed spending time in his garden.
A very special thank you to the nurses and PSWs for the compassion and dedication for caring for Gino daily.
A visitation for Gino will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home & Chapel, 96 West Street, Brantford, followed by a funeral service in the Chapel at 1pm.
Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Paris.
