Peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice on Wednesday March 20, 2013 in her 53rd year. Loving wife of 30 years to Stephen Smith. Dear mother of Cody Smith ( Julia Vizzaccaro ). Dear daughter of Joan Phillips ( Hall ) and Jim Phillips of Brantford.Sister of Jane Wichrowski (Mike) and their son’s Michael and Derek, all of Brantford. Daughter–in-law of Don Smith of Paris and the late Joan Smith (2009). Sister-in-law of Craig Smith (Anna) and their son Colin, daughter Jennifer Rossi (Scott), all of Paris. Larry Smith (Janet) and their son’s Nick and Taylor (Bobbi), all of Mount Pleasant. Debbie was a long time employee of Brantford Power. In honoring Debbie’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of her life will be held at the “THORPE BROTHERS’ CARRIAGE HOUSE”, 96 West Street on Sunday March 24, 2013 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Hamilton Health Sciences or the Stedman Community Hospice would be appreciated.
