Norman Francis Brown Jr.

Norman Francis Brown, Jr., 85, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. He was born on May 29, 1936 in Natick, MA. Norman grew up and attended school in Rocky Hill, CT. He joined the United States Navy on February 14, 1955. Norman married Inez (Artrip) on December 27, 1964 in Virginia Beach, VA. After marriage, Norman and Inez lived in Bermuda, Virginia, and Florida over the period of 20 years. Norman retired at the Naval Air Station (NAS) Norfolk, VA on April 5, 1985. After his Navy retirement, he became a school bus driver for special needs children. He retired as a school bus driver on June 4,1998. Norman was committed to his Savior Jesus Christ and exemplified this throughout his life. He was a member of the Virginia Beach church of Christ for over 30 years. Norman and Inez lived in Virginia Beach until her death on December 3, 2005. In 2009, Norman moved to Plant City FL. to be closer to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. After moving to Florida, he was an active member of the Cork church of Christ congregation. Norman was the oldest of thirteen brothers and sisters. Norman was preceded in death by his father Norman Francis Brown, Sr., mother Esther Brown, wife Inez Brown, stepson Robert Donati and stepdaughter Teresa (Dwight) Edwards. Norman is survived by his grandsons David (Libby) and Kyle (Daphne) Edwards of Tampa, FL; his great grandchildren Renee, Max, Ava, Corbin, Hallie, and Ryan. A memorial service will be held at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens located at 2323 West Brandon Blvd Brandon, FL 33511 at 6 pm on September 20, 2021.
