Noel Emanuel Davy, a loving husband, father and brother, known to many as Brown Bee, Uncle Maas D, and Daddy, was born to Simeon and Irene Davy, in Port Antonio, Jamaica on October 15, 1938. He passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 in Tampa, Florida. Noel was the third of five siblings, of whom two have pre-deceased him. He is survived by his wife
Veta Plummer-Davy; his sister Maisie Edwards; his brother Mervin Davy; son, Noel Davy; daughters Janet Foskin (Richard), Carla Robinson (Courtney), Daveen Hartley (Errol), and Evelyn Davy; his stepchildren, Jo-Anne Williams, Justin Plummer and pre-deceased Wilber Plummer and a host of grand and great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
He was a master carpenter after learning and perfecting the trade since his youth. He held several occupations, which included working for the Reynolds Company for many years. He also worked for the cruise line industry for several years before relocating to Miami Florida. In 1997, he moved from Miami to Tampa, Florida, where he worked for the Hills-
borough County Sheriffs office until his retirement in 2009 Noel loved all genres of music, which led to him being a member of a gospel quartet
where he sang bass. He especially loved Gospel music as well as listening to the Psalms on CD. He had an elaborate entertainment room, which he built himself with all his musical equipment. Most days he would sit for hours just listening to his music. At other times he spent hours watching his favorite cowboy movies, he especially loved John Wayne. Visitors would
look forward to spending time with Noel in his music room, where he would entertain them with any musical selection of their liking. His ather loves included fishing and working on cars
He shared many special moments with Little Justin known as Bubba, Aisia and Mikayla, who he referred to as Little Girl. One of those moments included a dance off, where they would see who had the best dance moves and the reward was a generous 10 cents. He was a very fun loving man who always had a story to tell and there was no doubt about it, you had to
laugh.
Noel was a wonderful soul, a lively character and a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to so many, and although we will miss him dearly, we can all find peace in knowing he is in a better place; free from pain, free from sorrow and free from the cares of this world and that he is resting peacefully in the Lord, until we see him again.
