TUCKER, Maxine Thomas, 90, of Tampa, FL, passed away September 30, 2018. Born on November 22, 1927 on Garland County, Arkansas, she was a college administrator, a member of TOPS; loved to read, work in her yard and travel the world; having visited 36 countries and 47 of the U.S. states- minus Michigan, Indiana and North Dakota ! Maxine is predeceased by her husband J.P. Tucker, companion Carl U. Smith, Jr., son Carl U. Smith III and son Charles Eldon Tucker; she is survived by son Bruce S. Smith, daughters Judy Rayfield and Linda Sue Tucker, brothers Cy Thomas, Ronnie Thomas and Jimmy Thomas, sisters Phyllis Foote and Ollie M. Jones, 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 9-10:30 a.m. at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home with a 10:30 a.m. graveside service at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. The family will have a reception following the burial at the home of Mike & Raven Rayfield. (Please ask the family for directions.)
