TRIMBLE, Larry Kay, age 81, of Riverview, FL passed away on Tuesday, August 4th. He was a 1956 graduate of Wimauma High School. He worked for ISO for over 40 years. He was an assistant football and baseball coach, head basketball and girl’s softball coach for Providence Christian School. He was also very active and played in fastpitch and slowpitch softball leagues in Tampa and Brandon over the years. He was an active member of Providence Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and passed on his love of hunting to his sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. If there was a grandkid playing a sport, you would always find him in the stands or sitting in his chair. He was a collector of coins and many, many knives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Trimble, his mother Velma Davis Cobb and his wife, Joann Wiggins Trimble. He is survived by his sons, Mark Trimble (Rhonda) and Matt Trimble (Teri); daughter, Renee Stainback (Rob); nine grandchildren, Thomas Trimble (Brandie), Ashley Unger (Rob), Amanda Seales (Kolby), Cecil, Luke, Krista, Austin, Savannah, Tucker; six great-grandchildren, Ambralyn, Robby, Taylor, Eden, Beckham and Gatlin; and brother-in-law, Donald Wiggins.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, August 7th, 2020 at Providence Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2:00-3:00 pm. Interment will follow the service in Providence Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org). The family will be practicing social distancing in the church and encourage attendees to wear facial coverings for the safety of those around them. Ten minutes prior to service time at 3:00 pm, guests that are not able to make it to the church will be able to visit this obituary for a link to watch the service via live stream.
