JoAnn was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on March 30, 1932. The youngest of six children, she was a proud member of the 1950 graduating class of St. Francis Xavier Academy in Vicksburg.
She was married twice, traveled and lived across the USA and Europe, and, at various times, worked as a florist, an accountant, an executive assistant, and a homemaker. She had three children, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and brothers and sisters-in law. She loved them all dearly, as nothing was ever more important to her than family.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Sullivan Rausch, son Todd (Dori) Sullivan, grandchildren Kelley Ellis, Kerri (David) Wicker, Ryan Sullivan, Sean Sullivan and Connor Sullivan, great grandchildren BreAnn Ruedeman, Kaitlyn Ruedeman, Brenton Ruedeman Jr., Landri Ellis, Zachary Wicker and Zoie Wicker.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Annie E. Lane and Joseph B. Scott, husbands Walter Russell Sullivan and Cecil H. Knight, son Rick Sullivan, sisters Jane E. Wiggins, Marjorie L. Walley and Ora Belle Lauret, and brothers Joseph B. Scott Jr and John D. Scott.
Visitation will be 3pm-5pm on Tuesday, February 1, at Stowers Funeral Home in Brandon.
Visitation in Vicksburg will be 12pm-2pm on Saturday, February 5, at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service 2pm at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
