I am so sorry.  Jim was like a brother to me and I loved him just the same.  He was presence in many people's lives because of what was in his heart.  Despite distance we were never far apart.  Bless you and your family.  The Rose Bunch will always be in my prayers.

Dear Carrie, Jimmy and Jack, Please accept our sympathies, on the loss of Jim, your husband and Dad. I have known Jim for almost 20 years (Hardaway); crossed paths at Granite and spent numerous years at Misener Marine/Orion.  Jim was always a gentleman, (not so common in this industry), and will be respected for his knowledge and accomplishments, eternally. I was glad to know that Jim was in my corner in my times of need. What a blessing it is to pass through this world and know someone who truly loves life--not just its big moments, but the little ones, too. Jim did; he could savor a moment like no one else. He could remember moments and describe them so perfectly they became yours. He was full of curiosity, he was funny, and he was not afraid to show others he cared. I'll miss you, Cousin, and I'll treasure the moments we shared.

Carrie, I,m so sorry. I loved Jim as my own, I watched him grow from a boy to a man. Love you Carrie and boys.

During my earlier years with Granite, Jim and I crossed paths a couple times.  Word on the street was, if you have any questions regarding steel girder bridges Jim is your man.  I later found out Jim knew much more than erecting steel girder bridges.  When I arrived at Orion in 2007, Jim and I's paths crossed more frequently.  He was so easy to talk to, and he always had such a positive spirit.  It didn't matter how the conversation started or what we were talking about by the end, more times than not, it ended about football and centered on the Redskins and the Niners.  Jimmy and Jack your dad was a bright, wonderful, and caring man.   I hope that both of you strive to grow up having the character and integrity that your dad had.  Carrie and the boys, Kristy and I's thoughts and prayers are with you.  We will truly miss Jim.

Jim will be missed. Such a humble man that made a great impact with each conversation.  My heart goes out to the Rose family.

Getting to know Jim better and better over the years since I joined Orion in 2009 has been one of my true blessing. He was always the consummate professional, strategic thinker and visionary, and yet a very personable, honest and helpful team player. He will be sorely missed by all of us at Orion.

My deepest sympathies to my Aunt Marge, Kelly, Carrie, and the entire Rose family.  Jimmy was a very close cousin of mine (like a kid brother) and dear friend.  We were close growing up, drifted apart due to careers then became closer again over the past years.  Our birthdays were on September 17th so one of us would always call the other on that day and we'd pick at each other for a while, mostly around him being younger than me.  We shared dreams of our passions for Classic Cars and Motorcycles and were even planning a ride up into the Smoky Mountains this summer.  

I'll miss you “Jimmy Rose”, so until we can share those heavenly roads together, you and Uncle Jim just save me one of those iron ponies.

My deepest sympathy.  I've enjoyed working with Jim over the last 6 years.  He was not only our boss but a friend to all. He will truly be missed and always remembered.

I was very fortunate to know Jim as a friend and a business associate from our days with The Hardaway Company up to his time with Orion.

My condolences to the Rose family. I graduated from Graham High School with Jim. I hadn't seen him in years until this past year at the Graham Beaver game. We did a lot of catching up. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Carrie -Don't know where to begin. But what I can say is that I am very blessed to have met and worked with Jim for several years at Orion.  I can still hear his voice as I spent many hours in my driveway sitting in my truck after hours just talking with him, about work, about sports, politics, and life. He was a brilliant man, with a warm heart, so much drive. always time to listen, and he truly loved his family.  He spoke of you and your boys often.  A very proud man.  We had so much in common and shared the same philosophies.  I will miss him dearly, a great man and a true friend to me. We laughed and laughed hard so many times. I am deeply sorry and will never ever forget my friend. Not to say goodbye, only see ya. :)

Jim, we never got back to our recurring golf games that allowed us to share our life stories and insights while we hacked away at golf balls. Swing a few clubs in heaven for me while we fondly remember you here on earth. Prayers for Carrie and the boys whom you praised and spoke of often as you reflected on all the special moments you had with your family. May they find peace and comfort in this time of sorrow.

Carrie and Boys I was truly heart broken when I heard the news of Jims passing, Jim was my very first area manager when I started with Orion and not only was he my boss, we became friends. He was a great person and caring person, he showed so much compassion to myself and family when my father passed, which a true friend would show. He will be truly missed by all.
