Jason Matthew Wetherington, age 38, of Brandon, Florida, passed away at home on January 27, 2024, after a long battle with diabetes and kidney failure.
Jason was born on July 30, 1985, to Hugh and Judy (Hartpence) Wetherington. He grew up in the Brandon/Riverview area and graduated from high school in 2005.
After high school, Jason worked in several fields but was unable to follow a career path because of his health limitations. With a wonderful sense of humor, Jason built a group of friends who, along with close family members, lived a good life until he started kidney dialysis. Computer gaming was a favorite pastime, along with movie-watching.
Jason was predeceased by his grandparents. He is survived by his daughter, Emma; his mother, Judy Moore; and her husband, Bill Moore; his father, Tim Wetherington; and his wife, Theresa; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
