Indu was born to the late Mathew Simon and Gracy Mathew on September 13th, 1986, in Kerala, India. She along with her parents and two sisters were brought to Brooklyn, NY, in 1998, by her uncle Babykutty. Growing up, she excelled in school and graduated Salutatorian of her class in Brooklyn and earned B.A in Psychology from Chennai, India. She relocated to Tampa, FL, in 2012. She graduated with Summa Cum Laude in her Bachelor’s in Accounting from Rasmussen University. She received her Master's in Accounting from Keiser University with the highest G.P.A.
She married the love of her life, Sathiyan Natarajan, on June 30th, 2012. She lived her life to her fullest and took every opportunity to make memories for her husband and family, which will last a lifetime. In addition to being a dedicated, loving wife, she was an affectionate daughter, delightful sister, amazing cousin, great aunt, and a loyal friend. We are moved by the stories you have told us about how Indu has impacted your lives in the past few days.
Indu was a caring person who enjoyed helping others through their thick and thin. She enjoyed arts and crafts, loved baking, and cared for her pets, Ammu, Lucky, Tinky, and its children. Whatever task she undertook, she ensured that perfection was the endpoint and set that precedent with all her companions. For her pastime, she was more than eager to ride on her bike and go on many other adventures with Sathiyan, her world. There was nothing more that she loved than being surrounded by people she respected.
She made her stance very prominent and made her beliefs firm. She never backed down from friendly debates with her loved ones. She never put a façade on anyone; the person you saw is the person she was. Her knowledge about anything under the sun was unfathomable, and her wisdom was profound
She embodied her middle name "Sobha," leaving a glowing remark on everyone she talked to. Her smile is irreplaceable, and the love and care she showed left an everlasting impact. She was the soul of our family, as her presence was enough to fill the room.
In her short life, she believed in living boldly. She followed her heart without fearing the social norm, as she was unphased by it. She did not let society dictate her life, which set her apart from everyone else. Her level of distinction was unmatched, and she set a new bar of a standard to live by. Her aspirations added to the defining aspects of her personality, and that personality is matchless.
Throughout her life, she was a steadfast Christian, and her faith in God was unwavering. Her love of Christ was displayed through her acts of kindness and generosity in the well-being of others. She was the past member of St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church Kerala, Epiphany Mar Thoma Church, Queens, and is currently a member of St. Marks Mar Thoma Church, Tampa.
Indu along with her daughter, Hasini, join with her Father, Mathew Simon, and her Paternal and Maternal Grandparents in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, Sathiyan, mother, two sisters, and other family members. While we will miss her physical presence, we are assured and comforted that her company will be in our hearts always.
Dear baby Hasini, even though you were with us only for a day, the joy you left in our hearts will be with us till our time come.
Thank you for the unique memories you left in our souls and a life well-lived.
We love you Kochae and our little angel, Hasini.
Rest well in Christ.
