Beloved wife of the late Malburne Jewett Peabody, Jr of Riverview, FL, Deb was a lifelong joy maker known for her positivity, sense of humor, and her strength. She never met a stranger and made several friends to the point of them becoming family everywhere she went.
She was the daughter of the late George and Clara Grace Hampers of Casselberry, FL. She was the mother of David Tupper of Miami, FL; Danielle (Simon) Jackson of Camp Zama, JP; Douglas (Lori) Tupper of Tampa, Fl; and Diana Soule of Mumbai, IN. and also stepmother to Jeanette (Bill) Chapman of Charlottesville, VA and R. Alexander (Sara) Peabody of High View, WV. She was sister to the late Nadine Hampers of St. Cloud, FL; and George Hampers of Orlando, FL.
Born in 1952 in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Deb lived all over the world. She found that her career paths would take her many places, but she was the proudest of her achievement with working at NASA. Deb was also in office automation sales, and her sunny disposition along with the ability to be a duck (her words) and let things roll off her back earned her several accolades as a top producing sales executive for Ricoh and Xerox in the DC Metro area. She met and married the love of her life, Mal, in 2000 and they soon retired to enjoy sunny Riverview, Florida together.
Deb loved her husband and family intensely and was always interested in the events and activities of their lives. She was extremely fond of her many grandchildren, who called her Yia Yia, Nana, and Juni. They always brought her joyful moments.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Deb’s memory.
