Amerson, Charles Bobby “Bob”, 72, of Riverview passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, January 1, 2012. He was born on February 15, 1939 in Macon, Georgia to the late Charles and Pearl Amerson. Bob was a U.S. Marines Veteran. He Retired from TECO after 27 years of service in the Big Bend Power Plant. Bob loved traveling to the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. He was predeceased by his sister, Shirley Reid. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 11 years, Carrie; sons, Durwood Shores (Teresa) of Chapel Hill, NC, Charles “Chuck” Amerson of Seffner, FL, Danny Amerson of Brandon, FL, Robert Elliot (Janelle) of Plant City, FL and Kenny Wrightsel of Lake City, FL; daughter, Sherry Grant of O’Brien, FL; sisters, Betty S. Tidwell (Jerry) and Earline Johnson (Roger) both of Macon, GA; special friend, Bobby Sumrall; special pet, Fancy; 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many family and friends. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior both at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon.
