Anita M. Cook, 85, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Monday, October 24th, 2022, after a prolonged battle with a chronic illness. Anita was a bookkeeper for 35 years until her retirement in 1996. In retirement, she enjoyed going on cruises, bowling, and visiting with her family.
Anita was widowed by her first husband, Wade R. McHone in 1980. She remarried, and again predeceased by her husband James R. Cook in 2009. Anita is survived by her brother Kenneth Hall (Miami, Fl.) and her four daughters, Deborah McHone, (Tampa Fla.) Gladys Shapiro and her husband Steve, (Easley, SC). Elizabeth Beno and her husband Ray (Newnan, Ga). Rhonda Gray and her husband Jeff (New Port Richey, Fl.)
She was blessed with 9 grandchildren:
Alicia Bower (Steven), Justin Shapiro (Jessica), Ron Neipert (Marlene), Raymond Beno, Brynn Hornbeck (Eric), Christopher Beno (Krystin), Tyler Beno, Jeremy Gray (Gena), Robyn Cilibriaise (Charlie), and 12 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was much loved and will be missed by all.
A visitation for Anita will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.
