With great sadness we announce that Joseph Desmond passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, in Brampton Civic Hospital with family by his side at the age of 95 from "pneumonia" caused by his 4 day hospital stay following surgery for a broken wrist.
A long-time resident of Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada. Retired from CN Rail Telecommunications as a radio technician. An avid photographer and fitness buff, he was a member of the Can-Orient, Anglo-Indian and hiking clubs.
Born in Trivandrum, India to Mohamed and Isabel. And brother of Miriam and Maxine. Predeceased by siblings Mervin, Neville, Zamir, Priscilla, Naseem, and Billy.
Divorced from Beryl Baker (pre-deceased) and father of Debbie Baker-Jervis and Trevor. Grandfather to Rachael and Matthew.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral service to follow at St.Anne's Roman Catholic Church, (115 Vodden Street East, Brampton, Ontario) at 11am on Saturday, 20th January, 2024. Light refreshments to be served following the service.
