I just heard about Mr Morris today, I grew up across the street from Mr. Morris. Although it was weird living across from a school principal, Mr Morris was a funny, loving man. We use to eagerly wait to see what he would dress up as at Halloween and no one had a prettier house at Christmas. Dad use to stand at the window and say "There's Dave working on his yard again" then would proceed to cut our lawn not to be outdone. Mrs.Morris you were there for us when we lost Dad, know that all the Marr family is thinking of you now.

A wonderful friend and neighbour for so many years. He loved his family, his home, his cars and his pets and was always in good humour.  I feel lucky to have known him; and I wish Karen and all the family my condolences on their loss.  He was a very large presence and sure to be missed.

My deepest condolences to the Morris family. Dave was one of my teachers when I attended John Newman and then I had the pleasure of working for him at Bishop Francis Allen. Dave was a wonderful principal, who always put the needs of his staff and students first.  His sense of humour made coming to work a lot of fun. May God bless you all and help you find comfort at this sad time.

Dear Karen and family,

I was so saddened by Dave's premature death. I taught with him for 10 years at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys. He was absolutely the BEST principal with whom I have had the pleasure to work.
And Karen, I will never forget the love and support that you and Dave gave me when Tyrell, Lisa's son, was born. In fact, I still have the Brag Book that you gave me.

I can't imagine the grief you must be experiencing but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Remember that God only takes the best early. And Dave was definitely THE BEST!! God has plans for him to spread his cheerfulness, humour, love, and compassion to others.

I'll miss Dave very much. We were most definitely companions in silliness, which often helped brighten my days (and I hope, vice versa)..My deepest sympathies go out to Karen and family, and a wish that they take some comfort in knowing how Dave was held in such high regard by an inordinate number of people.

I knew Dave as a hardworking principal who put fun into his schools. He made many contributions to Dufferin-Peel Catholic School Board to make it what it is today. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.

I enjoyed working with Dave while he was principal of Sacred Heart  School.He always cared so much for his students and staff.His sense of humor was always welcome at superintendent meetings.May the good Lord bless  Dave for all his good work in Catholic education. A good man gone too soon. I had not seen Dave for a few years, but the last time I did was at Shoppers Drug Mart Avondale Plaza, a warm sunny fall day and as always his trademark smile and driving his convertible. We talked for a few minutes and then bid goodbye.

I worked with David for many years as a colleague in Dufferin Peel. He was a person who created warmth and generated smiles wherever he happened to be. I remember his ready laughter and spontaneous goodwill as characteristics that he was known for. His presence exuded care, compassion and kindness..what a beautiful legacy. As a Director of Education I always enjoyed Dave's presence at meetings as he brought good cheer and calm to the room no matter how challenging the times.

Condolences to the entire Morris family. Our children attended St. Marguerite Bourgeoys School from its opening. We remember "Mr. Morris" numerous unique neck ties, the twinkle in his eye, and his kindness. our prayers are with you all.

I was so saddened to hear of Dave's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of the good times we shared at both St. Jean Brebeuf and Ste. Marguerite Bourgeoys Schools. Dave ensured his schools were such pleasurable places to work. He never failed to show his appreciation to his staff. My favourite memory of Dave is when he decided to take up skiing and came with my classes to conquer Mt. Chinguacousy. Wouldn't you know it, within 3 visits to the hill, quess who decided he should show my students how to ski backwards down the hill? I still chuckle every time I think about it.
   Karen, this is the kind of wonderful moments that Dave will be remembered for - making people smile.  And while it's going to be very difficult to think of this world without him, it is a happy thought knowing that wherever he is, he is only spreading happiness.

Our heartfelt prayers go out to Karen, Laurie, Lisa,  David, Tanya, Cole and the entire family  during this very difficult time.  

Know that you are not alone in your grief, and that the loss of Dave will be felt by all whose lives he touched.  

In time, the tears will turn to laughter as you remember the happy times but for now take comfort in the knowledge that he has been rewarded with everlasting life with God and that he is at peace.

It is with great fondness and immense sadness that I heard of Dave's passing.  He was the first principal I worked with way back at St. Jean Brebeuf starting in 1977. We had such fun. Because of Dave I am still teaching.  He will be missed.

Each morning following an evening of "Meet The Teachers Night", we would always enter our classroom to find an object of gratitude from Dave. It could have been an apple or a flower or some other thoughtful gift to show us how much he appreciated us.  It always made me feel so special. One year we entered our classroom to find a pair of gloves and with it a note that said applause applause. Well Dave God has called you home and I'm certain that he has a special pair of gloves for you with a note that says APPLAUSE APPLAUSE WELL DONE!  From Rita Condarcuri
