Born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 15, 1950 to Eugene and Louisa Bessire. Bill graduated in 1968 from Euclid High School, where he was captain of the golf team. After high school, he attended The Ohio State University. He was employed at Crown Battery Manufacturing Company after college and worked for 50 years for this company that his grandfather started. He grew with the company and became the Senior Vice President of Sales and part owner of the company.
Bills passion was hunting. He owns a hunting camp in southern Ohio that was his happy place. He also enjoyed fishing, golf and his ever-growing family.
Bill is survived by his wife Robin, daughters Kimberly Fleischer and Amy Jo (John) Beaumont, grandchildren Ben, Katlin, Morgan, Madison, and Nicholas, greatgrandchildren Easton, Emersyn, and Lydia. Son Robert’s death preceded Bill in 2001.
Funeral services will be held at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home, 1221 53rd Ave East in Bradenton, on April 22, 2pm – 4pm followed by reception at Tara Golf and Country Club. Interment will be in Girard, PA Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), 24359 Northwestern Hwy, Suite 125, Southfiled, MI 48075. Proceeds will be directed to the local chapter of JDRF in Manatee County.
