She was born in Culver, Indiana on May 12, 1931. Patricia and her husband Richard raised their three children in both Nappanee and Columbia City, Indiana. They relocated to Bradenton, Florida in 1979.
In addition to raising their children, Pat worked in the medical field throughout her life until retiring in her seventies.
They were devoted parishioners and instrumental in the founding of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church. After Richard’s passing she then became a member of Palma Sola Presbyterian Church and as a participant of the Dorcas Mission project she knitted countless sweaters for children of migrant workers. For many years she helped prepare the paraments for communion and knitted many prayer shawls.
After Richard’s passing in1987, Pat married her former high school sweetheart Kenneth F. Bush in 1990. Kenneth and Patricia enjoyed their life together until his passing in 2003.
Survivors include her son Michael A. Counts in Gainesville, Florida; daughter Carla G. Maheu and husband Maurice C. Mahue in Bradenton, Florida and daughter Pamela R. Overstreet and husband Neil Overstreet in Summerville, Georgia; a sister Kay C. Muehlhausen in Seminole, Florida (beloved wife of recently deceased Donald L. Muehlhausen); four grandchildren; Justin, Jessica, Richard and Philip and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her birth mother Beatrice Gail (Babcock) Henderson who died when Pat was a little girl and he her father Carl W. Henderson and step-mother Edna L. Henderson-Sprouls.
