Megan Ashlee Clark passed away in her family home, surrounded by her loved ones, on December 17th, 2024. Megan was born on September 4th, 1984, in Burlington, Vermont, to Emily Rowe and was the beloved stepdaughter of Wayne Rowe. She grew up in Milton, Vermont.
Megan earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education at the University of Vermont, where she met the love of her life, Will Clark. They were married at The Essex in Vermont on July 8th, 2011. After graduating from college, Megan started her first teaching job in Maryland, right outside Washington, D.C. She loved exploring the area and could usually be found at Uncle Julio’s enjoying their signature swirl and nachos. She adopted her sweet puppies, Daisy and Violet, in 2010 and devoted her time to giving them the best life. She enjoyed play sessions, walks, and snuggling with them. They were always glued to her side.
Megan began her teaching career with Montgomery County Public Schools in Rockville, Maryland. She would later go on to obtain her master’s degree in special education from Townson University. She dedicated her life to educating and inspiring students. She loved working with children, and every principal noticed her amazing ability to meet the needs of all her students. Many parents were always blown away by what their children could do after working with Mrs. Clark. Students and families still reach out to her and keep in touch. She loved building relationships and could be found at her students’ birthday parties, sporting events, and competitions. She was loved by everyone she knew.
In 2018, Megan moved to Florida to be closer to her parents and immediate family. She began teaching with a new school district and was nominated multiple times as her school’s representative for Teacher of the Year. Her presence will be greatly missed.
Megan enjoyed trips to the local beach, reading, shopping, interior design, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her nephew, Owen. She also had a knack for party planning and making sure everyone was taken care of. She had a big heart and always put others’ needs ahead of her own. Megan was a proud, loving, and adoring aunt to her nephew Owen.
Megan is survived by her parents, Emily and Wayne Rowe; her husband, Will Clark; her sister and brother-in-law, Olivia and Justin Marquis; her nephew, Owen Marquis; her grandmother, Sally Smith; her aunt, Melissa Pariseau; and her uncle, Patrick Smith.
