Lawrence John Campbell, “Larry’, passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 84 at home surrounded by his family. Born, in Jersey City, NJ, Larry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and respected member of the community.
Larry was the proud owner of Campbell Plumbing in Bradenton for 35 years before selling the business and retiring. He dedicated his life to his craft and was actively involved with the state, county, and city in all matters concerning plumbing. Larry's expertise and passion made a lasting impact in the industry. He was a past president of the Florida Association of Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors as well as a director and Legislative Chairman for many years. He served many years on the Manatee County Unlicensed Activity Committee that he was instrumental in founding.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Mary, and their children George (Merrie), Laurie (Jerry) Ploehn, Cindy (Chris) Lawless, John (Dannielle) and Joyce DeMercurio. And numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his two oldest sons, Lawrence Jr (Larry, “JR”) and Thomas as well as his parents George and Helen, his brother James and sisters Diane Raymond and Mary Nicholas.
A Celebration of Life honoring Larry’s memory will be held on December 2, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Robert Toale and Sons Celebration of Life Center, 4310 Solutions Lane, Bradenton, FL 34211. The ceremony will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and neighbors to come together and share their cherished memories of Larry. Larry wanted a party and that’s what we plan to give him.
