Ken was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania to Francis and Johanna Geisinger on 17 May 1935. He went to William Allen High School and graduated in 1953. He went on to earn a BS in Mathematics at Bluffton University in 1960 and an Associate’s Degree in Engineering at Anne Arundel Community College in 2005. After a brief term of service in the US Army, Ken went on to work at the US Army Chemical Center, IIT Research Institute, General Research Corporation, Virginia Research, and US Army Concepts Analysis Agency before settling down to work as an Operations Research Analyst for the Federal Aviation Administration from which he retired after 30 years of service in 2005. He was a long-time member of Toast Masters International, but his greatest passion was being a part of the Venice Gondoliers and other barbershop singing groups as well as tutoring students at St Joseph’s Catholic School in Bradenton.
Ken is survived by his wife, Jeanette Geisinger, his ex-wife Janice (Jan) Wilson, four children, Kim Kilduff (Steve), Kurt Geisinger (Lisa), Kenneth Geisinger Jr (Anne), and James Geisinger (Windy), four grandchildren, Sierra, Aiden, Brandon, and Garrett, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Ken’s wishes, the family will be having a private memorial service at a later date with internment in the family plot in Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
