Jack Eugene Davison, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, in Bradenton, Florida, at the age of 85. Born on August 23, 1939, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Jack lived a life of dedication, kindness, and quiet strength.
Jack pursued his education at Journeymen Barbers’ International Educational School in Indianapolis, Indiana, and went on to master the craft that would define his professional journey. For 40 years, he proudly owned and operated a thriving barber shop, where he became more than a barber—he was a confidant, a storyteller, and a pillar of his community. Those who sat in his chair didn’t just receive a haircut; they experienced Jack's warmth, wisdom, and genuine care.
Jack will be lovingly remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his quiet, kind, and gentlemanly nature. He found joy in simple pleasures, including spending time at his neighborhood clubhouse, where he actively participated in social activities, forging meaningful connections with his community.
A devoted member of Parrish United Methodist Church, he cherished his faith and the fellowship he found within his church family. In his younger years, Jack's happiness came from moments spent fishing, camping, and creating lasting memories with his loved ones. These passions reflected his appreciation for nature and his commitment to nurturing meaningful relationships.
Jack’s legacy lives on through the family he so deeply loved. He is survived by his children, David (Diane) Davison and Jeff (Debbie) Davison; his grandchildren, Samantha, Tara, Mark Jr., and Zachary; his sister, Char McCain; his brother, James Davison; and his daughter-in-law, Ronda (Paul) Vancamp and her son KJ. He also leaves behind his devoted companion, Brenda Harcovitz, with whom he shared a loving relationship for over five years.
Jack was reunited in eternal rest with his cherished wife, Mary Davison; his parents, Samuel and Loretta Davison; and his son, Mark (Linda )Davison.
Jack Eugene Davison was a man of quiet yet profound dedication—to his craft, his community, his faith, and his family. His life was a testament to kindness, perseverance, and love. May his memory forever bring comfort and inspire those who had the honor of knowing him.
