Amber Joyce Plavak

July 11, 1940-February 6, 2022

Mrs. Plavak passed away quietly on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at The Ranch A.L.F. She was born to Lee and Abby “Doris” Shepard on July 11, 1940, in Trenton, MO.

Mrs. “Joyce” Plavak spent most of her married life as a wife, mother, and homemaker, who enjoyed riding her horses and raising Siamese cats. She was also a licensed realtor in the state of IL. She later followed her husband, James Plavak, to Maysville, KY and finally, to Bradenton, FL in 2014. She later retired to The Ranch Alzheimer’s facility. Mr. Plavak passed in 2019, shortly before they were to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Plavak raised four children to cherish her memory, Jeff Plavak (IL), Rebecca Barton (deceased), Lisa Plavak Good (FL) and Dawn Plavak (FL). She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Roberta Barton, Rheanna Barton, Jasmine Plavak, James Plavak, Jade Plavak; her sister, Enid Shepard, and several nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
