Alan "Blake" Logue, age 74, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on August 20, 2013 in Gainesville. He was born on March 15, 1939 in Bradenton, Florida, the 13th child of 13 of John and Agnus (Odom) Logue. Blake was a graduate of Manatee High School, class of 1957. He married Rebecca (Becky) Robinson in 1960 in Bradenton. They were married for over 30 years with 2 children: son, Blake and daughter, Vicki. After Becky's passing away in 1992, Blake later married Adrienne Sauve, of Bradenton. They were married for 20 years.
A 67 year resident of Bradenton, Blake played football on the Manatee Hurricanes powerhouse teams of the late 50's as well as a member of the Track teams which won 3 consecutive State Championships from 1955-1957. He worked numerous years at Alcan Aluminum Corp and later in the Real Estate industry until he retired in 1998. A 30 year University of Florida booster, Blake and Adrienne moved to Gainesville in 2006.
He is survived by his wife Adrienne of Gainesville; son Blake Logue and daughter-in-law Susan (Anderson) Logue of Cary, Illinois and daughter Vicki Seiden of Bradenton; grandchildren Shane Seiden, Sara Seiden and Robinson Logue; brother Mason Logue and sisters Saralyn Thomas and Myrtice Hayes; brother-in-laws John Robinson, Bill Robinson, and Bob Hayes; sister-in-laws Sandra Robinson, Peggy Robinson, Janie Robinson, and Adrienne's daughter Robin Rinda. He had numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins all loved dearly by Blake.
Services will be held at the First Baptist Church Chapel located at 1306 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, Florida; 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 25, 2013. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society and Hospice. Immediately following the services the burial will be at Manasota Memorial cemetery located at 1221 53rd Avenue, East, Bradenton, Florida.
