Margaret M. Putnam

Margaret Mary( Ronto) Putnam of Pottstown passed away December 23 rd 2012 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, she was 75. Born in Phoenixville Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles M. and Elizabeth (Szalocy) Ronto.

Margaret attended St. Ann‘s Catholic School, and was very proud of her varsity letters in Field Hockey and Basketball. She also had enjoyed gardening, crocheting, roller skating and swimming. She had worked as a kitchen aide at the former Pennhurst State Hospital. Margaret was a member of the Orioles Home Association, Manatawny Association and Gabelsville Athletic Association.

Margaret who was the former wife of the late Ralph E. Putnam Sr. is survived by her daughters; Margaret Assini, of Dade City Fla., Cindy, wife of Hugh McClune of Missouri and Denise, wife of William Raysor of Pottstown and two sons; Ralph Putnam Jr of Oley and Michael Allen Putnam of Missouri. She has 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.She resided with her companion Richard Geisinger for many years. She has 3 sisters; Mary Quay of Phoenixville, Christine Greer of Lansdale and Helen Steele of Pottstown. She is also survived by her brother, Vincent Ronto of Pottstown. She was predeceased by three brothers; Joseph Ronto , Charles (Rabbits) Ronto and Eugene Ronto and two half sisters Betty Day and Bertha Gradwell.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday December 28 at 2PM at Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, 701 Farmington Ave. Pottstown. There will be a viewing from 1 till 2.
