Robert R. Renner

Robert R. Renner (Bob) of Crofton, Maryland, died suddenly on Sunday, November 12, 2023. Bob was the only child of William and Loretta Renner. Bob was married for 65 blissful years to his wife and soulmate, Kathryn Renner. As the patriarch, he was a loving father to his four children, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Bob retired from Military Sealift Command after 38 years of service. In his younger years, he enjoyed coaching his children in youth sports. As a grandfather, he remained a spirited and feisty supporter and attended games often.

Bob lived for his family and enjoyed memorable family vacations. He was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bowie and committed much of his time to service and volunteering in the community. In his later years, he took up the art of stained glass and enjoyed making pieces for his family and friends. He also loved animals and spent time feeding his squirrels.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn, his four children, Denise, Keith, Craig and Douglas, his grandchildren and his great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Samantha Adams.

A visitation for Robert will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715.

A Mass of Christian burial will occur Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 12:30 PM at Sacred Heart Chapel, 16501 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715.

A graveside service & interment will follow the Mass on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 West Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035.
