Richard Thomas DeCicco

Richard DeCicco, a resident of Millersville, MD, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, surrounded by his family. Rick was born in New Jersey to his father, the late Dr. Benedict Thomas DeCicco, and to his mother, Doris Pauline Scholl DeCicco. Rick graduated from Bowie Senior High School in Bowie, Maryland, and worked as a construction manager before starting a small construction business, Decks-Plus Inc., that specialized in residential home improvement.

Rick was a compassionate and devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend to a large group of extended family and friends, known for his sense of humor, resilience, strength and courage. He adored his nephews and nieces, the Pittsburgh Steelers, dogs, hummingbirds and anyone with a good sense of humor. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Benedict Thomas DeCicco and his brother, Daniel Joseph DeCicco. He is survived by his mother, Doris Pauline Scholl DeCicco, his brothers Michael Paul DeCicco and Anthony Robert DeCicco, his sisters Lauren Ann DeCicco and Dr. Kathleen Leigh DeCicco, seven nephews and three nieces.

There will be a memorial viewing at 10am at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715, followed by a Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 16501 Annapolis Rd, Bowie, MD 20716.
