Helen Dolores Kisselbach (née Jones), aged 94 of Bowie, MD, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2024. Born on February 27, 1930, in Washington DC and raised in District Heights, MD, she graduated from Maryland Park High School.
Dolores dedicated her life to her family as a beloved homemaker. Known for her love of entertaining, she cherished moments spent on her front porch watching birds and other wildlife. A fan of "Antiques Roadshow" and movies featuring snowy scenes, she also enjoyed listening to music and following her daughters' top 40 bands around the DC area. Most of all, she looked forward to her annual trips to Ocean City MD with her daughters. Her pride in her grandchildren's accomplishments filled her with immense joy.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeannie (Rob) Bennett and Nancy Ammann (Bruce Cuff); stepson, Joe Kisselbach; grandchildren, Nicholas Bennett, Michelle (Dan) Dodd, Christy (Bob) Rawlings, and Theo Kisselbach; brother, Alan Jones and numerous nieces and nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernst Kisselbach; son, Ed Ammann; former husband, John Ammann; parents, Rupert and Dessa Jones; sister, Betty; and brothers, Bill and Jimmy,
A service to celebrate her life will be held at noon on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Robert E Evans Funeral Home in Bowie, MD, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland, 20715.
The family suggests that contributions in memory of Dolores be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The Robert E Evans Funeral Home in Bowie, MD, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
