Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Carl was the genuine article...a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who always spoke glowingly about his family...a man of faith...a loyal, thoughtful and supportive friend...a dependable and effective workmate at Coast Guard Headquarters over many years.  I will miss his pleasant companionship.

Louise, Jennifer, Kimberly, and Ken, I hope you can take some comfort in this thought. One of my last conversations with Carl about a week before the tragic accident included thoughts about the end of life.  I can't remember why that topic came up or his exact words, but he closed with a comment about, in the final analysis, looking forward to eternal reward in the hereafter.  He lived a life worthy of such an end.

My dearest friend Jen, I was saddened to hear of the passing of your Father. While there are no words to help ease the loss that you and your family bear, know that you are close in every thought and prayer.

Words cannot express how sorry we are for the loss of your husband & father. Jen, Mason, Camden & Carson are the first friends we made when we came to MD.  The warmth of your family is cherished by my family.  Something I will miss about Mr. Perry is how I always seemed to run into him while doing errands. Most times it would be in Giant or Petsmart.  Every time his smile and the conversation made my day brighter.  His love for gardening inspired us to grow one of our own. I can't pass a hibiscus without seeing his smiling face. You and your entire family will remain in our prayers.

Dad, words cannot express how thankful we are for all the love and support you gave us through the years. You always made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. You never failed to tell us how proud you were of us, and how much you loved us. We will miss you and your special stories, and especially, we will miss all the suggestions we had yet to hear.  Cheers to you, Dad, and give Cal a big hug from all of us.

So deeply sorry to learn of Carl's passing.  He went to heaven way too soon.  We have fond memories of him from our many Mother's Day gatherings, especially the one where he presented his carefully grown pepper plants to all the mothers.  We will surely miss him!!!
