Anita C. Boedecker, also known as Nita, passed away on December 6, 2023, at the age of 72 in Edgewater, MD. She was born on March 24, 1951, in Cebu, Philippines. In 1985, Anita immigrated to the United States of America and married Wayne Boedecker. "Boe" & "Nita" lived a military lifestyle traveling around the world from Japan to many places in the the states, including, Montana, Texas, Illinois,and Maryland. Boe's term of endearment for Nita was "Babycakes". Known as a lively and gregarious couple, you would often hear of the two of them "cutting up".
Anita is survived by Wayne Boedecker (Husband), David Boedecker family (son) and John Boedecker (son), Dana Boedecker, Alexis Boedecker and Angelina Boedecker. She is deeply loved and missed by Mark and Josefina Smith (Sister), Rick, Jane, Diego, and Nina Markie, Eric, Anna, and Jackson Fagan, Romeo Alforque Cruda (Brother) & Romelo Cruda, Zenaida Jensen (sister), Ron, Cathy, and Wyatt Griffis, Leslie Mayol, and Anthony and Alicia Martinez.
She will also be dearly missed by her extended family in the Philippines, including the Cruda-Pañares family, Henry Rivera & Cynthia Cruda Pañares (Sister), , Rey Anthony Cruda Pañares, Charity Secusana, Ameliah Thylane S. Pañares, Rhea May Cruda Pañares, Mark Lloyd Daño, Elaine Jane Cruda Panares, Killian Louise Blaine Pañares, and Avi Louise Pañares.
Anita was also cherished by the Cruda-Mariquit family, including Wilfredo & Florenda Cruda Mariquit (Sister), Rachel Borja, Kathlene Borja, Michelle Rose Borja, Lynli Borja, Sarah Manigos, Wilfredo Manigos, Christian Manigos, Princess Manigos, Bernard Mariquit, Marichu Mariquit, Trixie Mae Mariquit, Kristine Mariquit, Florybeth Mariquit, Charlene Mariquit, and Maria Mariquit.
The Cruda-Repolido family also mourns the loss of Anita, including Paulino (Brother) & Fortunata Cruda, Menerva Moneva, Vicente Moneva, Jaylord Moneva, Rochelle Calimpong, Neven Calimpong, Dorothy Calimpong, Steve Calimpong, Grace Benlot, Dennise Benlot, Dion Benlot, Paulo Benlot, Charlotte Benlot, Ulysses Cruda, Menjie Cruda, Mika Cruda, Uan Cruda, Irrezary Cruda, Zary Jean Cruda, and Irrez Jedh Cruda.
The Cruda- Badayos family grieve the loss of Anita, including Domingo Jr. (Brother) and Maguinda Cruda, Fritzie Jane Mañacap, Jan Micheal Mañacap, Ziechaella Jhia Mañacap and Sharla Cruda.
Anita was a loving and generous individual who always put her family first. Out of love and support to her beloved family in the Philippines, she was very generous, and helped to support the education of many of her nieces and nephews. She had a funny and feisty spirit and always making everyone laugh with her funny stories. She would often talk for hours on the phone with family into the wee hours of the night. She was known for making perfect Siopao (a steamed bun with meat filling). Her sweet presence and laughter will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held in honor of Anita at the Robert Evans Funeral Home, located at 16000 Annapolis Rd, Bowie, MD 20715. The funeral home has been assisting the family with the arrangements and will ensure a dignified ceremony to commemorate Anita's life.

A visitation for Anita will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 PM at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715.
Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 12:30 PM at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 West Central Ave, Davidsonville, MD 21035.
