Patricia Jones

Born and raised in Abington, MA, a daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Ward) Hanson. In her youth, she was a proud member of the Abington High School Cheerleaders, and always loved the “Green Wave”. She attended nursing school at the Brockton Hospital, where she earned her degree in nursing. She loved all sports, especially tennis and golf, but the Boston sports team were her favorite. She enjoyed world wide travel, being the life of the party, and serving as the Grand Marshall of the annual Mashnee Island 4th of July parade. Most of all, she enjoyed time with family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Robert Jones, of Bourne, Cindy and Gerard Carney, of Raynham, David and Peggy Jones, of Plymouth, Marjorie and Roy Williamson of Salem N.H., Timothy “Barney” and Tracy Jones, of Bourne, and Dan and Lynne Jones, of Bourne, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the beloved sister of the late Leonard “Hap” Hanson, Marjorie “Aunt Marge” Eagan, and Charles “Lindy” Hanson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne. Burial immediately to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Visitation 4 to 7 Thursday, February 17, 2022.
