Mary Frances Matheson

Mary “Mim” Matheson previously of 699 Main Street, Hingham, MA passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on August 13, 2016, at the age of 90. Mary was the first born child of Patrick and Margaret Donahue of Boston, and loving sister of Peg Craig, Jack Donahue, Patsy Terry (deceased), Bob Donahue (deceased) and Ann Marie Donahue-Wright.

Mim’s greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother and grandmother. Her spiritual journey now reunites her with Francis H. Matheson, her late husband and true love. She leaves behind her family: Richard and Lisa Matheson of Birmingham, MI/Nantucket and their children Tucker, Chris and Jared; Robert and Linda Matheson of Woodstock, NH and their children Charmaine Casarico, Lester and Brandon Brent and Amber Lawton; Anne Matheson and Pam Cayton of Bourne, MA; Jane and Ron Nerf of Boca Raton, FL and their children Katelyn, Mitchell, Amy and Allyson; and Julie and Robbie Richards of Westborough/Falmouth, MA and their twins Trent and Tyler. Mim also leaves many much-loved nieces and nephews, in-laws, and friends.

Her unbridled love of family, faith, nature, art, and laughter that held us all so close will live forever in our hearts and memories. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church 841 Shore Road Pocasset, MA. Visitation Tuesday 5 – 8 p.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA. Interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
