Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Margaret (Ford) Youngren.
Mrs. Freedman had worked at New England Deaconess Hospital for many years.
She was pre deceased by her daughter Margaret (Peggy) Deleary of Upton (formally of Revere), and her brother Sylvester Youngren and sister Dorothy Robinson of Mission Hill.
She is survived by her son, Mark O. Freedman and his wife Lynne, and their children Parker and Rachel of Bourne, MA
In addition to her son she leaves behind her granddaughter, Lisa Brown and her husband Ken and their children Alexander and Nicholas of Hopkinton, her grandson Peter Deleary and his wife Natalia of Stamford Ct. She also leaves behind her niece Donna Youngren and her daughter Marguerite.
Mary was known for her feistiness, hard work and dedication while at the New England Deconess Hospital. Who once walked through the tunnels of the Blue Line during the Blizzard of 1978 just to get to work. She will always be remembered as a compassionate person who always lent a helping hand or words of wisdom to anyone in need.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne. Interment is private. Visitation prior to funeral service 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Arrangements under the direction of Nickerson~Bourne Funeral Home, Bourne, Massachusetts.
