John J. Frost “Jack”, 79 of Sandwich, MA passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Diane (Pottier) Frost, daughters Kimberly (Arthur) Frazer of Epping, NH, Laurie (Donald) Parker of Harwich, MA and Erin Frost of Sandwich, MA. He is also survived by grandchildren Kristyn (Dustin) Kee of Greenland, NH, Jessica (Jason) Fitz of Milford, NH, Alexandra (Bryant) Warner of S. Dennis, MA, Gabriella Parker and Chloe Parker of Harwich, MA, Riley Barrows of Wareham, MA and great-grandson Braylen Fitz of Milford, NH. Jack was born in Yonkers, NY and raised in Sodus, NY. He was the son of the late Robert and Margaret (Riley) Frost and brother to Bob, Peg, Laurie, Lou, Michael and Mary. Jack joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1958 and was stationed in Portsmouth, NH. Jack and Diane initially raised their family in Malden, MA and he was a proud member of the Teamsters Union Local 25. After later moving to Sandwich, Jack built and ran Wakeby Junction Restaurant, affectionately known as the Log Cabin. Jack was also a proud member of the Clark-Haddad American Legion Post 188 in Sandwich as well as the Marconi Club in Sagamore. Jack worked for Auto Parts International in Bourne for the past 15 years. Visiting hours will be held Sunday April 21st from 4-7pm at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA. Burial will follow on Monday April 22nd at 9:30am at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Charity of your choice.
