John lived in Texas and Florida before moving to Wareham with his family and graduating from Wareham High School. He was the owner of John Avilla Irrigation based in East Wareham and Oak Bluffs, MA founded in 1980.
He is survived by his son John Michael Avilla and his wife Tiffany O’Neil Avilla, his daughter Jennifer Sylvia and his grandchildren, Tysyn Barboza and Maddyx Sylvia. His brothers William "Bill" Avilla and his wife Lora, Joseph Avilla and his wife Renee, Frank Avilla. His sisters Linda, Gina, and Eva Avilla and many cousins. nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday August 25th from 10-11am, Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. Bourne, MA. Burial is private.
