James Angus Smith

He was born to the late John and Helen Smith on March 30th 1951. Jimmy graduated Bourne High School in 1969 and then went on to attend classes at Cape Cod Community College. He was drafted in 1970 and became a para trooper for the U.S Army. He spent the rest of his career working as a stone mason.

He enjoyed having a couple “cold ones”, watching the boats down at Monument Beach, spending time at the canal, playing solitaire, and taking the occasional stroll through Dorothys. More recently he enjoyed Judge Judy, anything History channel related, browsing through the Bourne residents facebook page and spending time with his two beautiful grandchildren Savannah and Joey.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 41 years, Paula (Goss) Smith, his children Tyler Smith of Wareham, Jennie Smith and her husband Shawn Silva of Buzzards Bay, his precious grandchildren Savannah and Joey,

his sister Joanie (Smith) Zak and her husband Tom-Ski of Monument Beach, his two cats Midnight and Roscoe, and many in laws, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

A visitation will be held on August 3rd from 4-8pm at Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home located 40 MacArthur Blvd. in Bourne. A celebration of life will take place at the VFW on August 20th from 3-7pm
