

He was the youngest of seven children born to Hazel Winters and F.E. Beagle on December 29, 1926 in Findlay, Ohio.
Shortly after joining the United States Air force, James met the love of his life, Barbara J Lindtner. They had been married 56 years before her untimely death in 2003. In the early years of their marriage they were stationed briefly in six different states until finally settling at Otis Air force Base on Cape Cod, Massachusetts in 1959.
James had a long and fulfilling career in the USAir Force as a procurement specialist. He was able to spend a year in Arabia and another year on Texas Tower Two on Georges Bank. After retirement from the military he remained with the same job as a civil servant then worked at McDonald's Paint and Wallpaper Store in Falmouth for many years before retiring completely after the loss of his wife.
A kind and honorable man with a sense of humor who was always there to help family and friends in need. Quiet and thoughtful he could also be the life of the party, especially while dancing at the British American Club. James was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking and was born with artistic ability, something he inherited from his own father and passed on to each and everyone of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
James is survived by his daughter Penny Cook and husband Ralph of Connecticut, daughter Sandra Dunham and husband Kevin of Maine, son Brad Beagle and partner Liz Schar of Massachusetts, his former daughter-in -law Sheri Yenser of Arizona, his four grandchildren, Kristi Jeglinski and husband John, MSGT USAF (ret.) of Florida ,Geoffrey Daniels and wife Karen of Maine, Erin Meyers and husband Ryan of Connecticut, Zachary Beagle and girlfriend Caroline Beatty of Rhode Island, two great-grandchildren, Piper Meyers and Maeve Meyers of Connecticut, his brother-in-law Jeffrey Lindtner and wife Barbra of Pennsylvania, and many nieces and nephews.
