Charles R. Ellis

A lifetime resident of Cape Cod, he grew up in Nantucket and was the son of the late Charles W. and Marion L. (Lewis) Ellis.

A veteran of the United States Army he served from 1952 to 1954. Mr. Ellis had worked for New England Telephone Company for over 35 years, retiring in 1992.

He enjoyed playing golf and bowling.

He is survived by his children, Charles “Chuck” Ellis and his significant other Sue of Plainville, MA, Marianne Ellis of Bourne, Maureen Roller and her husband Christopher of Sandwich, MA and Craig Ellis and his significant other Gina of Bourne and a brother, Edward “Butch” Ellis; grandchildren, Melissa Butler, Megan Roller, Brandon Ellis, Brittany Ellis, Courtney Ellis and Corey Ellis and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne. A visitation will be prior to the service from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
